CM Haryana visits Surajkund

Haryana Chief Minister Shri Manohar Lal remarked that Surajkund International Crafts Mela is playing a pivotal role in promoting the cultural heritage of the country during his visit to Surajkund on Friday. During a lunch hosted by Chief Minister, Haryana at Hotel Rajhans, Surajkund, which was well attended by important dignitaries, international folk artistes from different countries presented enthralling performances. Sh Manohar Lal interacted with the folk artistes participating in the Mela.


Also present on the occasion were Shri Krishanpal Gurjar, Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India; Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Sh Kanwar Pal Gurjar; Deputy Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Smt Santosh Yadav, Capt Abhimanyu, Finance Minister, Haryana; Shri O.P. Dhankar, Agriculture Minister, Haryana; Smt. Kavita Jain, Women & Child Development Minister, Haryana; Smt Seema Trikha, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Tourism & Hospitality, Haryana; Shri Anil Jain, Head of Haryana Affairs of BJP; Shri Vipul Goel, MLA, Faridabad; Shri Mool Chand Sharma, MLA, Ballabhgarh, Tek Chand Sharma, MLA, Prithla among many other esteemed guests. 

 Kite flying competition organised at Surajkund Mela

Over 150 students from 9 schools of Faridabad and Ballabhgarh participated in the kite flying competition held at Natyashala. The competition was organised for junior and senior category in High Flying and Kite Cutting competitions. In high flying, the winners among boys (junior) were Shivam and Vishesh of Holy Child Public School, Sector 29, Faridabad and Vaishali and Reema of Maharani Vaishnav Devi High School, Tikona Park, NIT, Faridabad among girls (junior).

Rahul & Rajesh were the winners among boys in senior category of high flying and among girls, Neha and Komal of Government Girls Model Sr. Sec. School, Old Faridabad bagged the laurels.

In kite cutting among boys (junior category), the winners were Sameer Yadav and Pranav Sharma of Holy Child Public School, Jawahar Colony, Faridabad and Suruchi and Smily Rana of Satyam Shivam Public School, Lakkarpur, Faridabad. The winners among boys (senior category) were Taranjeet and Arshad of Government Boys Senior Secondary School, NIT-3, Faridabad and among girls (senior category), the winners were Shalini & Aarti of Sri Sanatan Dharam Sr. Sec. School, I B, NIT, Faridabad.
